The San Diego Access and Crisis Line (ACL) has been serving the people of San Diego County since 1997. It receives thousands of calls per month related to suicide prevention, crisis intervention, community resources, mental health referrals, and alcohol and drug support services. Confidential and free of charge, the line is immediately answered 7 days a week, 24 hours a day by Master's-level and Licensed Clinicians.

Survivors of Suicide Loss


 



SOSL (Survivors of Suicide Loss) provides support services that offer hope, comfort and healing to those left behind after a suicide. These postvention services promote healing and reduce suicide risk for this population known as survivors of suicide loss. In addition, SOSL promotes suicide awareness and prevention in the San Diego community.

Tri-City Medical Center



 
Tri-City Medical Center Outpatient Behavioral Health Services offers Intensive Outpatient services for individuals with various mental health issues, such as mood and anxiety disorders as well as psychosis and dual recovery issues (mental health and substance use). We use various modalities, including dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and medication management. We currently offer in-person and telehealth services. Our team of psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed social workers and marriage family therapists are here to help with mental health recovery.

Mental Health System ( MHS) is an non-profit organization founded in 1978 to provide innovative and cost-effective mental health and drug and alcohol recovery services. IHOT North Program provides outreach and engagement including support and education, screening of needs, transitional case management, referrals to community services and crisis intervention as needed.

National Alliance on Mental Illness, NAMI San Diego




The National Alliance on Mental Illness in San Diego (NAMI San Diego) is the community’s voice on mental illness. We are a part of grass-roots, nonprofit, national NAMI organization, and also an affiliate of NAMI California. NAMI San Diego was founded in 1978 by family members of people with mental illness.

 
We have a threefold mission:
 
  • Support people with mental illnesses and their families by helping them find coping mechanisms for their daily struggle with brain disorders.
  • Educate people who have mental illness, their families, and the general public about mental illness with the goal of dispelling ignorance and stigma.
  • Advocate for more research and an improved system of mental health services across the nation.

Recovery International






Recovery International is a non-profit organization that hosts peer-to-peer, self-help meetings in the community, on the telephone, and the web. Individuals are trained in the cognitive behavioral tools developed by Dr. Abraham Low. Recovery International meetings are open to anyone. The Recovery International method has improved people’s lives around the world for over 83 years.

PERT – Psychiatric Emergency Response Team





PERT actively and compassionately assists those in crisis who come to the attention of law enforcement and EMS to access appropriate services through on-scene assessments and referrals. PERT pairs a licensed mental health clinician with a law enforcement officer/deputy or EMS community paramedic. The teams ride together in the field for their entire shift and are first responders to assist persons in behavioral health related crises.

PERT provides training to all San Diego County law enforcement agencies, as well as fire service personnel and dispatchers on behavioral health awareness and response, including de-escalation.
