Denise “Stormy” Swindle
August 16th, 1951 - Sept 29, 1995

Denise loved people and the great outdoors. She spent much of her time traveling and seeing places she had read about in books. She was always excited to share pictures and experiences from her travels.
Denise had challenges in life due to a manic depressive condition. So much so that she legally changed her name to “Stormy”, which she chose as a description of her life. She said the storms would blow in and out, and related her life to “Peaks and Valleys”. She spent great amounts of time in the VA Hospital system and was loved by all who knew her. Ironically while there she was able to help many others overcome the same struggles she faced.
Denise brought a lot of credence to the saying of old, “Walk a Mile in My Shoes”. The storms eventually took her life, but not without first allowing her friends and family the opportunity to know how deeply she loved and cared for others.
