This fundraising walk for Survivors of Suicide Loss is a cause that is profoundly close to my heart. In 2015, I lost my brother Jeremias to suicide. That loss changed my life forever and deepened my commitment to supporting individuals and families affected by mental illness.
For the past 17 years, at CRF, my passion has been to support people living with serious mental health conditions to believe that recovery is possible and to teach the next generation of clinicians that as well. For the last 7 years, I’ve led efforts to implement the CASE suicide assessment approach across CRF, helping clinicians engage in compassionate, effective conversations that can save lives.
Today, as Senior VP of Clinical Operations at CRF, suicide prevention is not just part of my job—it’s my mission. Every step I take in this walk is for those we’ve lost, those who are struggling, and those who are working tirelessly to make a difference.
If you feel moved to support this cause, your donation will help fund vital programs for survivors and expand suicide prevention efforts in our community. Together, we can bring hope, healing, and change.
With gratitude,
Mary Wheeler
